A Quick Note to Never Alone Subscribers
Hey, beloved tribe!
JUDITH Magazine will launch tomorrow. I’ve imported the Never Alone subscriber list so that everyone who reads my newsletter can receive the magazine without any additional effort. Please know I have no desire whatsoever to send you any unwanted mail, so you may opt out at any time and never receive magazine content again.
This magazine was launched for the purpose of promoting Jews in the literary world at a time when we are under siege within the industry — not just for supporting Israel, which would be bad enough, but just for being Jewish. This has taken the form of blacklists, boycotts, resignations, event shutdowns, and both explicit and implicit refusal to consider Jewish content by agents, editors and publishers.
VERY IMPORTANT: if you do not want to try the magazine, even for a brief time, please simply unsubscribe from JUDITH!
If you’re open to trying the magazine, it’s my hope and aspiration to bring you absolutely beautiful Jewish poetry, essays and stories on an ongoing basis.
ALSO VERY IMPORTANT: the magazine will be free to everyone always. Even if you opted for a paid subscription to Never Alone (which is always deeply appreciated), your subscription here is free unless you decide to change that.
The magazine will launch tomorrow. I hope you’ll be willing to try it out for at least a few days before making a decision, but if not, absolutely no worries — again, just unsubscribe and you will receive no more missives from JUDITH.
For those who choose to stay, thank you so much for joining me in the fight for Jewish writers in a harrowing time. We will weather this moment together and emerge stronger for it — I know we will.
All my love always and Am Yisrael Chai,
Elissa
